Bugu-Ene Zoo– The Karakol Zoo was established in 1987 by the initiative of the Government of the Republic .This is the unique zoo in the country. Zoo occupies a relatively small area, almost in the center of town.

Barskoon waterfall is a geological protected area located in Jeti-Ögüz District of Issyk Kul Province of Kyrgyzstan in 90 km to the south-west of Karakol on one of the tributaries of Barskaun River.

Jeti-Ögüz is a balneotherapic resort and located at the north slope of Teskey Ala-Too mountain range near Issyk Kul in the Jeti-Ögüz District of Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan, about 28 km west of Karakol, and near Jeti Ögüz village.

Karakol Valley National Park– The Karakol Valley has been awarded national park status but, pleasantly, the 250som entrance fee has been scrapped and even foreigners can enter for free.
